Pyrmont Bridge – Sydney

Walking by the water in Sydney, I’m always fascinated by the blend of old and new architecture. On Pyrmont Bridge, the historic control tower stands against the city’s modern skyline. It was built in the early 1900s, and managed the bridge’s swing mechanism – so the steel bridge section turns 90 degrees, allowing boats to pass through Darling Harbour, and turns back for pedestrians to cross. It’s a perfect spot to pause, reflect, and take a picture.
